I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel... Philippians 1:12

... Every detail, circumstance, moment in our lives should served to advance the gospel and Christ will be honored in our body...

"... As it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain..."  Philippians 1:12;20-21

December, was a month with many opportunities to see God working through His Church and His people.

We received the invitation to attend the Christmas Party at Horn Lake Public Library. Mrs. Martha and Mrs. Carson, invited me to share about Christ Fellowship's vision and pray for the audience.
It was an amazing moment to be Christ's witness before 130 people between parents and kids, most of them of catholic background.

Other amazing news, is I meet The Arguellos Family. They are from Venezuela, everybody knows about the last situation in Venezuela, for this reason many venezuelans are looking to move to other countries as Politicians Refugees. This is the case of Carlos, Judith and Carlos Jr.
God give us this tremendous opportunity to show God's love to them. Our goals is to encourage them to be adopted in Christ Fellowship family and teach them english.

Hopefully Carlos and Judith have a job for the next weeks, please help us in praying for a Job for more stability and for His paperwork.

This wednesday we will  start The English classes for immigrants at Christ Covenant Church (our sister church). Please pray for this opportunity to show God's grace and His love to the immigrants and also an opportunity to build a relationship for future discipleship. God is bringing new persons, this is the case of Manuel Herrera, from San Salvador. He is another refugee for the sad moments of San Salvador, specifically for the Maras ( The Gangs of San Salvador).

¨ ...In collaboration with The New York Times, El Faro, a digital newspaper based in San Salvador, sought to pierce the secrecy surrounding the finances of the gangs that terrorize El Salvador, which is experiencing a level of deadly violence unparalleled outside war zones: 103 homicides per 100,000 residents last year, compared with five in the United States.

With an estimated 60,000 members in a country of 6.5 million people, the gangs hold power disproportionate to their numbers. They maintain a menacing presence in 247 of 262 municipalities. They extort about 70 percent of businesses. They dislodge entire communities from their homes, and help propel thousands of Salvadorans to undertake dangerous journeys to the United States. Their violence costs El Salvador
$4 billion a year, according to a study by the country’s Central Reserve Bank...¨

Two weeks after the start of the english classes, God brought Geronimo Hernandez from San Salvador, he is another refugee too. He arrived more than two years ago and almost a year ago when he was working, His family called him to let know him that His teenage brother was killed by the Gangs of San Salvador. Please pray for Geronimo's heart. The last week I had a breakfast with him, was a beautiful moment sharing the Gospel. Geronimo told me: Jaime, never before I heard all the thing that you told me today... Please pray for more opportunities with Geronimo, I have the deepest desire to teach him the Bible.
