"for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries". 1 Corinthians 16:9

"For the Lord opened up a way for him for the furtherance of the gospel. He calls this a great door, because he could gain many. He calls it effectual, inasmuch as the Lord blessed his labor, and rendered his doctrine effectual by the power of His Spirit. We see, then, how this holy man sought everywhere Christ’s glory, and did not select a place with a view to his own convenience or his own pleasure; but simply looked to this — where he might do most good, and serve his Lord with most abundant fruit; and in addition to this, he did not merely not shrink back from hardships, but presented himself, of his own accord, where he saw that he would have to contend more keenly, and with greater difficulty. For the reason why he remained  was, that many adversaries were at hand; and the better equipped he was for enduring their assault, he required to be so much the better prepared, and the more resolute".

                                                        John Calvin

Hebrews 6:9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end...

For God is not unrighteous - God will do no wrong. He will not forget or fail to reward the endeavors of his people to promote his glory, and to do good. The meaning here is, that by their kindness in ministering to the wants of the saints, they had given full evidence of true piety. If God should forget that, it would be “unrighteous:
First because there was a propriety that it should be remembered; and, second because it is expressly promised that it shall not fail of reward; Matthew 10:42

2 Timothy 4: I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."

As Paul comes to the end of his letter, he wishes to nerve and to challenge Timothy to his task. Also is the same challenge for us today!

Jesus is the judge of the living and the dead. Some day Timothy's work will be tested, and that by none other than Jesus himself. A Christian must do every task in such a way that he can offer it to Christ. He is not concerned with either the criticism or the verdict of men. The one thing he covets is the "Well done!" of Jesus Christ. If we all did our work in that spirit, the difference would be incalculable. It would save us from the touchy spirit which is offended by criticism; it would save us from the self-important spirit which is concerned with personal rights and personal prestige; it would save us from the self-centered spirit which demands thanks and praise for its every act; it would even save us from being hurt by men's ingratitude. William Barclay

We always say in Christ Fellowship “ We are a family, but we always are adopting ”

As a Missionary family is amazing to see families who we encouraged a couple years ago as is the case of Whitthens family. We met them since 2012, and God use circumstances to be connected  and invited them  in 2015 to Christ Fellowship  and now they join to us as a members! Also, Arguellos Family, is very encouragement to see in them their love for Christ Fellowship.Praise God who is the only one who brings the spiritual growth.

Philippians 1:19-21

" Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Timothy 4:13-16

"Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching."

When I read "Until I come", is like these words hit my heart, as Christ is telling me the same, why? Because He will return someday, and I would like that He find me doing that.

Certain duties are laid upon Timothy, the young leader designate of the Church. He is to devote himself to the public reading of scripture, to exhortation and to teaching. Here we have the pattern of the Christian Church service.
The very first description of a church service which we possess is in the works of Justin Martyr. About the year A.D. 170 he wrote a defence of Christianity to the Roman government, and in it (Justin Martyr: First Apology, 1: 67) he says: "On the day called the day of the Sun a gathering takes place of all who live in the towns or in the country in one place. The Memoirs of the Apostles or the writings of the prophets are read as long as time permits. Then the reader stops, and the leader by word of mouth impresses and urges to the imitation of these good things. Then we all stand together and send forth prayers." William Barclay

Please we need your prayers to continue accomplish what God call us to by His Grace!

Philippians 1:19-21

lunes, 1 de mayo de 2017

" To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

"...so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him..."

...Paul's uplifting message ends with the most uplifting vision of all. It ends with what we might call the reciprocal glory. When Christ comes he will be glorified in his saints and admired in those who have believed Here we have the breath-taking truth that our glory is Christ and Christ's glory is ourselves. The glory of Christ is in those who through him have learned to endure and to conquer, and so to shine like lights in a dark place. A teacher's glory lies in the scholars he produces; a parent's in the children he rears not only for living but for life; a master's in his disciples; and to us is given the tremendous privilege and responsibility that Christ's glory can lie in us. We may bring discredit or we may bring glory to the Master whose we are and whom we seek to serve. Can any privileged responsibility be greater than that?
Barclay, William

....we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him,...

I love these verses! also is my prayer, that you are praying for us so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in the work that He called us to do.
