Thank you for holding the rope!

“And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.” Philippians 4:15-17

“no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only.”

The Philippians had a heart that invest in missions, they had a partnership in the gospel, the Philippians seem to have been generous in their financial support to apostle Paul’s work.

But also donations, gifts o offering is Not the only way to invest in missions, these are part of missions and missions need them!

But let me go deeply, let me giving to you an example,
ver. 14 was kind of you to share my trouble.”

Here we are, see what is the nature of true Christian pity; not only to be concerned for our brothers in their troubles, but to do what we can to help them.
Let me give to you a close example of that,

Philippians 2:30 for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.

This scripture is talking about Epaphroditus, a man who was willing to put in risk His life for the sake of the Gospel, for the sake of the Kingdom of God.

Epaphroditus, showed to us a heart that invest in mission, a heart that is committed for the sake of the gospel. His testimony is an encouragement to invest your time, invest your skills, invest your talent, we don’t need to change our state, But we need to do something for missions…

William Carey, who upon his trip to the unknown world of India, looked at the small band of brothers around him and said, as it were, “Well, I will go down, if you will hold the rope.”

We are grateful of each one of you for holding the rope!

Please pray for us, we need the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ to accomplish what God call us to do, like apostle Paul asked to the Philippians

for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
